When he was illegally detained by Gideon, Krenko defended himself with reasonable force. Unfortunately, one of the brothers was killed as a result of the vigilante’s reckless actions. More recently, while in the middle of complex business negotiations with the Shattergang Brothers, Krenko was harassed and assaulted by the vigilante Gideon Jura. Among his many charitable and socially conscious acts, he’s tackled shady Orzhov accounting practices, brought down symbols of Azorius fascism, and exposed corrupt Boros leadership. They branded him a criminal and even put him on the Azorius’ Ten Most Wanted List.ĭespite the prejudices against him, Krenko wanted to give back to the community, and expose the guilds for the evil they were. The Ravnican elite, however, couldn’t accept a successful goblin - much less one not associated with any guild. Despite society’s stereotypes and the oppressive guild system, Krenko managed to carve out a successful business enterprise. Of modest birth, Krenko faced a society that was doubly stacked against him: he was born guildless and a goblin. It ends up at being over fifty miniatures (only seven are painted, but still), a far better deal than you’ll find anywhere else. So what’s the deal? Today for only about $19 on Amazon, you can buy the first core set and the Battle for Zendikar expansion. However, it’s actually a pretty good deal for the minifigures alone, and if you’re interested in Dungeons & Dragons or in the Plane Shift adaptations for MTG, this is a great supplemental product. The final product isn’t perfect, and it definitely suffered from not having enough terrain pieces to make the battlefield more engaging.
